 FAQs

  • According to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), on average it takes around 45 hours of lessons to learn how to drive, with an addition of 22 hours of private practice with family or friends. With Automatic driving lessons, this should be less than the average figure. Some drivers may need less, and some drivers may need more, so it really is down to each individual.

  • From experience, there is generally no significant difference between the amount of lessons needed for anxious learners and those who are relatively confident. It is natural for new learners to feel anxious, but they will overcome this problem with the more driving that they do, as we will help you to build your confidence. Remember, learning to drive with Auto's Best in the West is a fun experience and we are here to support you all the way!
